Color Stories: Yuzu - The Quest for the Perfect Soft Yellow Bedding

Our Yuzu Yellow shade was the first color we wanted to create for Kiyko Home. We were on a quest to find the perfect yellow shade that is soft yet bright, something joyful but not overwhelming. 

After many sample rounds, we settled on the perfect yellow hue. Yuzu is a soft yellow inspired by morning light, bright citrus, and creamy butter.

In color psychology, yellow is often tied to energy, optimism, and creativity. We didn't want a yellow that felt too neon or too golden; we tested to find the perfect soft colorway.  We wanted the yellow to feel like filtered sunlight—still bright, but calm and grounding.

It’s the perfect bridge between minimal and playful. Cheerful enough to brighten your space, subtle enough to layer like a neutral.
